Samhain and visitors.
I hope everyone has a nice Samhain celebration yesterday :)
I had two of my friends from back "home" (as in where I lived before I moved down here) come down on Saturday for a regular pumpkin feast! It was supposed to be a girls' night, but I ended up with so much food that we invited some of my love and my friends from around here also. We had pumpkin soup, pumpkin pie, pumpkin muffins and fried pumpkin. Oh, and gingerbread cookies. Everything prepared by me in two days... ahhh.. I thought I would go crazy, but I didn't. I love pumpkins. It's something about them being so.. fat! They look adorable, whether carved or not.
We had three. The small one, where I carved the Fellowship (it looked so much better than in those stupid photos below here), a medium greenish one, where I carved abstract thingies; stars and squares ect. And the big one, where my love carved ghosts and a tombstone. We kept them all indoors tho. I wanted to put one of them outside, but was met by massive protests : "But we want to seeee theeeeem!" :P
Most of the people left around midnight. But my old friends had to sleep over, as the last train had left hours earlier. Their sleepover was planned tho, so it was no problem. We slept in long, had a nice and long breakfast and spent most of the Sunday just catching up and relaxing in our living room. Oh, and mending our sore throats (four hours of Playstation SingStar does something to your vocal cords).
OK, that's about it for Sunday. Now today. Had lectures at school. I have lectures mondays and tuesdays, but the rest of the week I stay home and read. Anyway, school today. It was painful to get up that early (always is), but I wouldn't want to miss a lesson. Especially not this week. Writer's workshop! We got our short stories back today (about 6 weeks since we handed them in) and I got some nice comments on mine. Made me happy! :D We're supposed to hand in a new short story in two weeks. Need to come up with a good idea, so I'll be thinking about that for some days now.. :)
