Babies!

Lilo's babies were born yesterday, around 4.30 in the afternoon. I was out with my class, but my love saw it all. She had four beautiful, adorable babies, and I can't stop staring at them, they're so much fun. One is completely white (albino), one has a white body and black head and two are brown/golden and white, like their mom. I will put up photos very soon :)

Miao

I have a catquarium. Let me explain. Our apartment is in the basement of a huge villa (two large apartments like ours, we have the basement one and our landlady has the first floor, then one smaller apartment and three bedrooms that share a livingroom/kitchen and bathroom. See? Large. And doesn't even look like it.), but not totally under the ground, only halfway, so we have windows on all sides. And there are sooo many cats in the neighbourhood, and they all walk around the house, which means they walk by our windows all the time. One of them loves studying us. Apparently, those who lived here before us used to let the cat in and give him cheese. So he probably just wants some grub. :)
Season finale for Gilmore Girls was on here yesterday. Which means no more Gilmore for six months or so here in Norway. Buuhuuu! No fair! *sigh* But I saw on Amazon that they sell the first two seasons on DVD, although region 1 and NTSC (we're region 2 and use PAL). Unfair! Not that I'd have the money for it...
Still no Lilo-babies. But she seems to be fine, runs around like usual and wheeks for food all the time. I'm sure they'll pop out when they're due.

Looong day

Thought I'd write some lines before going to bed. Or, not going to bed yet, but going to watch a DVD with my love, that's IF we can agree on one of course *lol*.
I just had Lilo on my lap, she was wheeking (that's the sound they make) for food and I wanted to make sure she was ok. The babies were probably asleep at first, but then they started squirming around like crazy, it was very weird to both feel and watch (you could literally see Lilo's stomach twist). My love and I wondered if she was going to pull an "Alien" on us, but no. No babies yet. But it must be painful having the babies boogie around like that, yikes!

Talk about pain, I couldn't sleep very well last night. My love wasn't here, he was in Oslo for some film-convention, and that stupid sore from the mole-removal on my back made me sleep on my stomach all night, which is a position I don't enjoy, OR am able to sleep in. So a mix of suddenly finding myself alone in my bed, AND not being able to sleep like I usually do on my back, kept me up most of the night *sigh* Hopefully this night will be better.

I did manage to do a little bit today, although most of the time was spent doing things I didn't actually need to do, instead of working on my assignments and reading. But did get an idea for the five-page short story we have to write, and started on it. Guess I'll continue tomorrow too, but there's also other things that needs to be done to Monday that comes first. Maybe I should just unplug the internet cable tomorrow. There are too many distractions on the internet. Like this blog-thingy for instance, and the desire to add so much more to my webpage which isn't really a webpage yet by the way. But I'll be good tomorrow and maybe then allow myself to work with this for an hour or so. Yay! :)

Scary movie, scary doc visit.

Went to the movies last night with my love, watched "The Village". I like Shyamalan's movies, they're full of unexpected events. And they're usually a little bit frightening also. But people had told me that "The Village" was his weakest movie yet, so my expectations weren't that high. Maybe that was a good thing. Sure, it had some flaws and logical errors, but the twist in the end in this movie, was way better than in any of the others, in my humble opinion of course. I simply loved the concept. And another thing, it had me on the edge of my seat like no other movie I've seen before. In all, a very interesting movie night it was.

Oh, and the Norwegian version of "Queer eye for the straight guy" was on yesterday. It was horrible! I mean, sure, you're gay, we all know that, no need to exaggarate it! Think Carson times ten for ALL five of them! *lol* And they painted the poor "victim"'s kitchen dark brown and turqoise. If you ask me, that's a hideous combination, but what do I know. Geez...

Ok, jumping forward to today. Went to the doctors to have a mole removed. Ouchie! Well, the removing of the mole wasn't bad, but the shot before was. And when I got up and went to pay for it all, I almost passed out. Not particulary pleasant. How come you get so nauseous on top of it? I've passed out once before, and had that same feeling. You feel like you're gonna throw up, but disappear into your head instead.. Ahh.. scary. It's all ok though, I'm back to normal. Except I can't go swimming for some time now *sigh*.

Still no Lilo-babies. I have no idea when they're due. We bought her preggers, and the people at the pet shop couldn't say exactly when it happened, but it was about a month since she had been with any male piggies when we bought her. And now we've had her for a little over a month, so considering they go for 8-9 weeks she should have her babies any moment now. Impatient! I won't be able to relax before she has had them and they're all OK. I know how many complications those little creatures can have before, during and after a birth, and I'm worried of course. But I'm also doing my best to give her excelent care. Fresh bedding, hay, veggies and extra vitamin C.

OK, better get back to studies now. :)

Finally!

Yay, looks like I have this thingy up and running now. Seems like I removed something from the script I wasn't supposed to do.. haha.

So that makes this my first real entry. Ouch, the pressure ;)
But who am I? Still working on a proper about-page (or, haven't really started, to be honest), but there are other things that needs to be done. But ok, quick introduction. I'm a 21 year old talkative loony who enjoys books, writing, music, Gamecube and singing. I consider myself a pagan, but won't talk much about that, 'cause I don't believe in preaching. But I do believe that if everyone could just take some time to care about those surrounding them the world would be a much better place to live.

OK. What more? I'm Norwegian/German, live in Norway with my boyfriend for two years and out two guinea piggies Monster (male) and Lilo (female and pregnant, although not Monster's fault, he's neutered. Lilo was preggers when we bought her. And the babies are coming any day now, so excited!). We recently moved into a much larger apartment (the old one was tiny), and had to buy a whole lot of new furniture, since we only had a TV/stereo benchthingy. Oh, and one bookshelf. Which was no way enough for my tons of books.. hahaa. So IKEA has been our buddy now. Nice bookshelves, yay! And our sofas (2 + 3 seat), which we ordered 6 weeks ago finally arrived last week. Oh the joy! Maybe now we can throw our housewarming party... better wait 'til Lilo has her babies tho. It shouldn't take long, she's huge. I don't have a digital camera, but have taken some photos with my cell phone. They're all crappy, but you can see what I mean by huge. Look at her little head. Awww.. poor piggie!

And here's both Monster and Lilo.

OK. Going to test this for now and... maybe write again later.
