Ode to the Fluffy

How do you feel about the term "fluffy pagan?" What is your definition?

Fluffy pagan... I would say those who claim to be pagan 'cause it's "oh so hip", those who have seen too much of Charmed/Buffy/The Craft and... don't have a clue. Although that's very disrespectful of me, but that's the impression I get. Those who fit my definition of "fluffy pagan" are also the ones who are very eager to flaunt it, wearing lots of large, visible jewlry and getting into constant discussions over former persecutions of witches.
Hah... Aren't I the judgemental one? x)

What do you feel are some of the "wrong" reasons that people tend to learn towards the pagan faith? (sex, drugs etc)

Much of what I already said, it's become fashionable. It's a way for teens to rebel, to show how different and how non-mainstream they are.

What annoys you the most about some of todays self-defined pagans?

I try not to get annoyed. But those claiming to pagan simply to draw extra attention, they annoy me. To me, calling myself a pagan, is a matter of describing my spiritual path. I do not need to dress up in certain clothes or tell everyone who happens to be around that I'm alternative and unique.
