OK, now comes the issue boys/girls.

There's a few things I've come to realise by having both male and female friends. As in having male and female friends looking for a girlfriend/boyfriend.
Both genders complain about how cruel and annoying the other gender is! And both seem to be equally desperate about getting some. My girlfriends all go "they don't notice me, they don't pay any attention, they don't take any hints". And the guys go "all girls want bad boys, I try to be nice and see her run off with a real jerk right in front of me."
What is the problem? Good question, really. It it too high expectations? The want for the perfect partner? Saying stuff like "I'm desperate, I'll take anything with tits." and then proceeding to get a number from a not so pretty girl and saying "Well, I won't be calling her anyway." Huh? What do you really want? And my girlfriends listing several demands, almost making up a male clone of themselves. That's not very probable, is it?
And I've tried explaining the consept of pretty girls/guys. If they look like they spend a lot of time keeping their appearance perfect (working out, make up, clothes), chances are they are equally picky about whom they date. This seems to be a hard one to swallow for my ordinary, nerdy male friends. There's nothing wrong with them, but I suspect they get a little too hung up on tits when having had a few beers.
My female friends don't even try hitting on the "pretty guys", they just complain about not being noticed. I dunno which one I find more annoying, really.

But is there a sollution?
Setting up my friends perhaps? Nah... They'd chop my head off! And being taken, and trying to give advice on flirting is fruitless. "What do you know about dating and flirting, you have a boyfriend!" *shakes head* Any suggestions on what to tell them?
