Snow and really irritating weather gods!

I didn't mention this yesterday, but as I woke up and had a look out of the window, there was a little surprise waiting for me. Six inches of snow! And about -5 C (23F) outside. But we live by the coast and the air is very humid, adding another -5 C to how the temperature feels.
Well, today it's -10 C (14F), with the feel of -15 (5F). I always wrap myself up in blankets in the winter, but now I've pulled out the really thick ones. Eeek...! I am SO not going outside today! I know I am a norwegian and should be used to this, but I am only half norwegian, I'm excused!
I wonder what temperature my parents have today? They live further inland, and yesterday they had -18 (-0.4F). I read in the papers that all of Norway had temperatures below freezing tonight and that's something that only happens a few times a year. Røros had -38 (-36F) for example. Eww!
The worst thing about the snow and cold is not the snow and cold itself. I mean, I can dress up in ten layers of clothing and smear cold cream in my face and it would be bad, but not horrible. BUT Pea (our car) can't possibly be on the road when there's snow or ice there, our winter tyres are so bad... Not that I think Pea would start in these temperatures anyway.
But it sucks 'cause we're supposed to visit love's parents this weekend to celebrate both his brother and his father's birthdays. I mean, we CAN take the bus, but it's cheaper to drive Pea up. But if the snow doesn't melt in three days (very unlikely), we can't. arrrgh!

So, I will write some lines to the weather gods to ask them for milder weather. Like that will happen..
