Computer whooo and booo...

Computer whooo:
Had another 128mb of RAM installed, and my computer is, compared to its former state, super fast! Now I can actually run two programs at the same time AND use my winplayer. Yay for me!


Computer booo:
My "Black & White" game won't play on the computer, even though I meet the requirements. In fact, I used to play it when I was running on WinME with no problems at all, but now it simply won't. There are known problems with "B&W" and XP, most of which can be fixed with a patch, but it still didn't work for me. The game doesn't load properly, it only shows a preview video and then restarts my entire computer. But it is MY computer that is fishy, not the game. I have it installed on Love's computer now, which has almost the same specs as I have and it works like a charm. And he's generous enough to let me play whenever I want :D

Another computer problem is... service pack 2 is evil! It won't let me use my Bluetooth adapter anymore, so I can't transfer photos from my cell phone (which has limited space to save them on) onto my computer anymore. XP w/ servicepack 2 won't accept the drivers that came with the adapter, even though it worked like a charm before sp2 was installed. And there are no updates from the Billionton site available either (Billionton being the company that made the device). XP recognizes that I insert a usb device, but seems to label it as a bluetooth radio device. And therefore, of course, downloads totally idiotic drivers for it. When I go control panel -> hardware -> manage drivers (or something like that) and tell it to install new drivers from the cd-rom, it simply tells me "no, the drivers you have installed for this are better than the one you want, so poo on you!"

I won't go in details about what I would like to do with the person that came up with service pack 2. It involves the evil swan George, that's for sure! But arrrrgh, this is so damn annoying! I mean, I only bought that thing half a year ago, and it was kinda pricey too. Now it's useless... Grrr!
