Car search team.
We make up an interesting team, Love, Simon and I. We went looking at some cars yesterday, and Simon span around the cars, wriggeling stuff, doodling with stuff under the hood and so on. Love fell in love with the first one we looked at, this Rover 400, and compared the others to that one afterwards. "But the Rover had a cooler badge!" "But the Rover looked prettier!"
Honestly, whether Love nor I know anything about cars. I know what I like, designwise, so do Love. And I have a weird thing about how the car sounds, I have to like it.
But that's why we bring Simon with us.
The other cars we looked at? A Ford Mondeo and a Toyota Carina. The Ford (which I was rooting on), was sadly horribly beaten up. Poor thing. And the Toyota seemed very tired, even though they're generally great cars. But it had lousy brakes and wobbled a bit on the road. And honestly, looked like shit. Or, that's unfair, it simply looked... as uttely dull as a car can look. The only plusses with it, was that it was a Toyota and it was very spacey. But it would come out more expensive than the Rover, and would need some immediate maintenance which would be an additional expense of course. And it has cheesy early 90s interior, ick!
We still have a couple of cars to look at. Another Rover 400, one year newer, somewhat cheaper, but more mileage, and an Opel Omega.
I'll see if I can sniff out some other cars to look at also, but I want this new car thing to happen as soon as possible. It's drawing near on winter here now, and I do not want to depend on Pea when the first snow falls. And with me leaving in a little over a week to Germany, it has to happen before that.
Oh, and no... we haven't suddenly turned mega-rich ('cause then I would have gotten a brand new Ford Focus *heart*). But we can manage a small car loan, and we frikkin need a new car!
Although Pea's behaviour was inpeccable yesterday. Too late, Clonky, we're ditching you.
