The update game.
Sorry folks, a lot has been going on here lately. Mostly work, that is, and family the few days I had free.
First, happy news!
I'm online again, on my own laptop. Not the Dell one, but we put the money we would have spent on fixing the Dell, added a little extra money and got a completely new one. With a two year warranty, on top of other nifty and handy extras. It has more RAM than the old one, a better graphic card (yay, can finally play Black & White 2), 100gigs harddisc (compared to 40 gig in the old one), DVD writer and a lot of things I have no idea how to use. Like, how to use it to watch TV for instance. It even has a finger print reader! And a remote control.
It's still very foreign, it does't feel like my own yet. But I've named it Spiff.
Bad news...
I had one cavity left and had it done on tuesday this week. But something went wrong with the aenastethic. The dentist hit a nerve or something, and I've had a runny nose (one nostril) since tuesday. But the worst part is my eye. It's droopy! It only opens half way, I look like I've had a stroke! I'm worried to death it might be permanent and I've called my doctor, hoping she has an available appointment very soon. I seriously look awful, it's completely horrifying to think I might stay like this. I cannot begin to explain the horror I feel right now, it's an icy cold monster stuck in my stomach and radiating from there all through my body. I already have so many hang ups about my body, the last thing I need is someting that destroys my face.
And I'm so pissed off at the dentist that hasn't even bothered to return my call, because "he can't do anything about it". I feel I should sue someome... But first I need to know how serious this is. The weird thing is that I don't feel anything. No pain, no problem with my sight, no problem moving. The lid has just re-located itself.
So think of me if you have a warn thought or two to spare.
