WooooH! MooooH!

CowParade is coming to Norway this summer. Weeeeeeeeeeee!!
It will be visiting Telemark, a county I always have problems with placing *lol*
But still, woot wooot!

(Now comes the troublesome task of convincing Love to drive all that way just for me to jump around all the cows.. Hmm...)

Poke the penguin!

Come on, I know you want to poke a penguin. Admit it, you want to!
Poke one here.

Birthday photos.

I totally forgot this!
Here are a couple of shots of the birthday decorations. :)

The adult table. With piggers in the background. And tulips! Tulips are my favorite flowers, I dunno why, but I can never resist tulips.

Kiddie table. Arrrr! Pirates all the way. The table cloth (err... cloth? That's pure plastic!) was a brilliant idea, because when we removed it, no cleaning was needed. Arrr!

This and that.

With Hyacinth being immobile at the moment, we've had to rely on Simon for a couple of things. Like, me getting home from work on Sunday. There's no busses on Sundays here (well, except two or three during the day) and I'm not in the mood for an hour of walking when I've spent 18 of the last 48 hours standing on my feet.
But apparently I'm not safe anymore when riding with Simon. One stupid remark about me wanting to learn how to control a skidding car has given him the go to out of nowhere skid the car on purpose when driving with me. The snow that came down on Sunday was a perfect occasion. Sheesh... I'm the human equal to Piglet, be nice! And that maniac laughter doesn't make it any better! *grumpfh*

But I shouldn't be saying that too loud. Simon is the reason why we get away with paying 10 000kr less that what it could have costed to fix Hyacinth. He's shopped parts for us, got us discounts, got us someone to do the job, done all four brakes himself. We still have to pay around 10 000 in total, but that's better than 20 000!

I'm not feeling very well these days. I've had a headache for a straight week and get little fits of dizzziness. Not good. But I'm seeing a doc tomorrow. Hopefully I just need more iron or something. Bah...

Oh, and I'm going to grow my own herbs! Parsley (mostly for the piggies, it's their favorite), basil and one more. It'll be very interesting to see if it works. Herbs aren't desert plants, and I'm having trouble keeping ordinary plants alive. But we'll see. I've always wanted herbs in my kitchen, so... I'll try a little harder.

**edit: Pssst! Love got a hair cut! Yay for him! He's very proud. He even had to style it this morning, so now he has two big clumps of gel on either side of his head. I think I'll assist him tomorrow. I'm pleased though. It actually has a shape now. Not just the "dead animal" Love claimed it was before. ;)

Cars suck!

No, not Cars the movie, which I'm sure will be hilarious. Real cars suck. And right now the suckiest of them all is Mrs. Hyacinth Bucket, the poshmobile!
*draws deep breath*
As in 12 000 kr sucky. 1800$ sucky.
ARRRGH!

She's lost her head. The head gasket that is. It's bust and that's a bad bad thing. Bloody hell... It's rather complicated to fix it also, so it would take Simon forever to do, and he doesn't have forever right now. That means... shop. Shop means vampires that suck you dry.

There goes Love's new computer, the desperately needed one, seeing he doesn't have one fit for his work, nor is it his in the first place, the shit pile he has now.

And there goes all our holiday money, that would pay for a longer Germany vacation for both of us.

I'm so frustrated I could cry, but I tell myself not to. Because we got Hyacinth even though we knew of the extremely common head gasket problems with that engine, and we knew she hadn't had it replaced. But then again, we didn't know how much it would cost to have it repaired, and seeing the head gasket usually busts at half the mileage Hyacinth has done, we hoped she would be a good girl.

Oh, and did I mention the brakes? Needs new brakes, the bastard. But that's just peanuts compared to the head gasket. Or, that is money for parts and dinner for Simon that is. And sure, he liked peanuts, but he prefers things that used to go MOO.

Good news though... Hyacinth is such a rare thing as an brittish car with hardly any rust. But somehow that doesn't have me bouncing around at the moment.

Arrr matey! Loot in sight!

This is what the kids got today, a real treasure hunt. Please notice the dangerous beasts marked "farlig" (= dangerous) and the quicksand pit which happens to be our bed room.

Happy birthday to me, happy birthday to meeee!

It's my birthday, I've had the appartment full of family, had too much cake, too much noise from my nephews, too much pizza... But very happy. And very tired.
Oh, and too many balloons. But wait? How can anyone have too many balloons? Weeeeeeee!
(The piggies don't appreciate the balloons much, when they pop, the piggies turn to shivering furballs)
Weeeeeeeee for meeeeeeeee! :D

Me me meme.

I love a good meme. Heck, I sometimes love a bad one also. That's why I'm stealing this from Karla. It's not like she didn't steal it in the first place ;)

When you looked at yourself in the mirror today, what was behind you? I don't think I looked that closely. The door?
How much cash did you spend yesterday? Ugh... I have no idea. 60kr in road toll, 45kr on a pile of lozengers, 123kr for an absurd amount of funny balloons (for the big birthday party this weekend), 60kr on napkins, cups and streamers, another 200 (I think, I don't quite remember) for jello, paper tablecloth, chocolate, muffin mix. No, I'm not summing it up for you. I'm sick, my head's full of cotton, I don't feel like it (and considering that F in maths below here, I'm not so sure I should anyway).
What's a word that rhymes with mist? Mist means something similar to "bugger" in German (bugger is btw a really cool word, Karla!)
Favorite planet, which you would live on, if you could? Jar Jar's planet.

Who is the LAST person you kissed?
Oooh that's sooo interesting. I'll give you one guess... :P
  • What is your favorite ring on your phone? My phone doesn't have rings. WTF? That would be the day I have to buy my PHONE a ring. Duh...
What is the last band shirt you wore? I don't have any, so that would probably be Backstreet Boys somewhere around 1997. I would love the Rammstein "Ahoy!" shirt though. It's cool!
What do you think of yourself? Right now I think I'm bloody stupid because I didn't take my c-vitamins. Feeling pretty sorry for myself also.
Name the brand of your shoes you're currently wearing? Hah... None. Barefoot. But I most frequently use my floral patterned Dr. Martens these days.
Night light or pitch black? Pitch Black is one sucky movie.
What do you think about the (previous) person who took this? Karla paid waaay too much for those three buns. But she's my evil guru, I can say no negative thing.
What were you doing at midnight last night? Sleeping, I think. We were both pooped yesterday and went to bed right after "LOST"
What did your last text message say that you received? A message from my boss, telling me I came second in the weekly "who has the highest average in sales".
Where is the nearest Valero? Huh?
What's something that you say a lot? "Nais". Silly norwegian way of saying nice.
Who told you they loved you last? Love.
Last furry thing you touched? We have four furry things I touch regularly. On Tuesday I had to fetch all of them because of the vet visit, and I often pat them when passing by the cage, if they let me that is.
How Many Drugs Have You Done In The Past three Days? I don't do drugs, unless I can count caffeine. I'm addicted to that, it's my "drug"
Favorite age you have been so far? No idea.
Your worst enemy? Those chocolate crossants at work. I fight the urge all the time. And honestly, I'm good at it, I've only had three of them since I started working there.
What is your current desktop picture? That leafy road photo.
What was the last thing you said to someone? Love you, to Love.
How do you like your eggs? scrambled or done on both sides.
Do you like someone? I'm with Karla on this one. What the fuck? Who WROTE this?
The last song you listened to? "Nebel" by Rammstein.

    Life goes on.

Things have been hectic. Had a somewhat hellish weekend, starting with the news of my Oma being hospitalized. Then the news of Love's grandfather being very ill, as in waiting for an omnious call any minute -ill. And I had to work, not being able to get that out of my head and messing up constantly, getting me a well-earned talk on Monday.
Oma is getting better now, but Love's grandfather passed away two days ago. It's not like it wasn't expected, but it's always unsettling. Not to mention the mental strain it is to just be waiting for that phone call. It's not unfamiliar to me, we've had that situation with Oma several times. But somehow she's always pulled through...
So you see this week hasn't been very cheerful.
On top of that I'm having somewhat of a beef with mum. She's accepted another invitation on my birthday, so that they can't come to Love and I's combined birthday party.
That alone hurts, but it's only the last of a string of events of lame excuses and it makes me so sad.
She sure knows how to make me feel excluded and unwanted.
    Bah...
So to sum it up? Shitty, shitty week and I would be more than happy just to crawl underneath a blanket and bawl my eyes out.
