F*CK!

My laptop is screwed. The motherboard is busted, not the graphic card, and I have no idea what to do. I can replace it, and pay a shitload of money on top of the money I already paid to get this frikkin piece of shit in the first place, or I can buy a new one with money I don't have. Well, I don't have any money to replace the motherboard in the first place either, when I think of it.
Fuck fuck fuck!
I feel like such an idiot for buying a second hand laptop. It's not like I have money popping out of my arse, so this is actually a big deal for me. I just want to cry...

My life by music

Being a bad girl, I snatched this from Karla. It goes like this: any device able to play music at random is fine, and make the song titles your answers (some people have sense enough not to use iPod/iTunes you know)

How does the world see you?
"Nowadays/Hot Honey Rag" from the Chicago soundtrack.
That's interesting.... errr..

Will I have a happy life?
"Spam song" Monty Python
Is that a no?

What do my friends really think of me?
"The Walk" The Cure

What do people secretly think of me?
"Walking on sunshine" Katarina and the Waves.
That's just not true. Haha!

How can I be happy?
"In the air tonight" Phil Collins?
Don't know where this came from. I don't even like the song.

Will I ever have children?
"Elephant Love Medley" from Moulin Rouge
The whole "I was made for loving you baby" part is promising. "Just one night, gimme just one night in the name of love" (that's all that it takes). "We could be heroes" is of course also needed for parenthood.

What is some good advice for me?
"Soul Song" Sugababes
I guess I have to listen to this get the advice then.

How will I be remembered?
"Colors of the wind" Disney's Pochahontas sound track.
Now that's just cheesy!

What is my signature dancing song?
"Wo bist du?" Rammstein
That's... kind of confusing actually.

What do I think my current theme song is?
"Light of day" Babel Fish
Well, I'm enjoying the increased day light, sure.

What does everyone else think my theme song is:
"Lemon Tree" Fool's Garden
Teehee. It's not that bad, I promise.

What song will play at my funeral?
"Sparkling Diamonds (original movie version)" Moulin Rouge soundtrack
Does that mean I'll be rich? BTW, Oy with the poodles already (as in, oy with the Moulin Rouge ST already!)

What is my day going to be like?
"How soon is now" the Smiths
I guess that means I'll be going to bed now *lol*

Hello hampster!

Waking up today was interesting. I had a good night's sleep, but my cheek now resembles one of a hoarding hampster. Hampster-Kjersti, that's me. Whoah... But on the bright side, the only pain killers I've taken so far, was when the novocaine went out and once again before going to sleep because the throbbing had started again.
Today I'm fine. I can't chew nor open my jaw more than a couple of centimetres, but it's just sore, not aching. The stitches freak me out, it feels like I have something stuck in my mouth (well, I do, don't I?), but at least I don't have that feeling of all my teeth falling out any more. (That has to do with my re-occuring nightmare that I loose all my teeth. It hurts like hell every time and that's what my teeth were doing last night).

But all in all life is good today. New book (Marian Keyes' "Rachel's holiday", very much recommended), all the soup I want without feeling guilty that Love doesn't like soup and not to mention unendless supply of soothing popsicles and ice cream.

Whoah, was that a truck?

... at least it feels like one hit me. Ow...
But the buggers are out now and I'm happy for that.

The valium? It totally backfired on me. Instead of being the dozy calm Kjersti I was supposed to be, it turned me to crying hysterically every time the dentist came near my teeth- Kjersti. Oh man... that was... BAD. I couldn't pull myself together either, and I feel like a complete idiot for bawling like that. So next time, no dope for me. I'll take a tic tac or two and tell myself they're cool pills and trust in the placebo effect.

Think of me...

... tomorrow. I'm having two of my wisdom teeth operated out. The one that's wonky and the other one on the same side. I'll get there an hour later to get some valium also, and that ought to be interesting. I once took double dose of pain killers and got all fuzzy from that, so I'll prolly be a lot of fun on this stuff.
But send me happy thoughts if you can spare some. I'm so anxious, and worried it'll be awful.

Hard rock hallelujah!

Guess who's pleased with the Eurovision song contest 2006 results!

YAY for Lordi and Finland! *insert Monty Python song here*

Poor Malta, only one point... But then again, that number made me want to fetch a mallet and maul the guy *shudders*
But damn, Norway needs new neighbours! All countries vote for their neighbours, all except our neighbours Sweden and Denmark.
Gotta love the norwegian commentor's burning hatred for Carola though.

Arockalypse!

If all adds were like this one.

Oh my goodness! This webpage made my day! It's an add for "Philips bodygroom". Make sure to look at everything including the music video and test drive!
Especially that cheesy grin has me laughing so hard. He's a loon!

I'm such a thieving little pirate, I am.

Since no one is tagging me nowadays I must take action on my own. Me stole this from the Jellomonster.

1. What's in the glove box of your car? Owner's manual, map, tiny bottle of car "nail polish" (for tiny gloss damages)

2. Favorite classes in college (or high school): high school - psychology and ensemble. College - creative writer's course.

3. Shampoo brand: just got a new one for red heads, Sunsilk I think. It smells like a kind of cookie, but I can't figure out which and it's BUGGING me.

4. Favorite piece of furniture you own: Our dining room furniture. I absolutely love my table and chairs.

5. Idea of a really good first date: Something untraditional.

6. Favorite fruit: cherries

7. Pick a passage from a favorite book: The first two pages of Douglas Adams' "Hitchhikers guide to the galaxy" has me laughing my ass off every time :)

8. What would you eat for dinner if it were your last night on earth? That would be a total binge, seeing I wouldn't have to pay for it the next day. Prolly... uh... that's so hard to say. I'd have salmon with lemon pepper and sour cream. And pot roast... and chocolate until I puked.
But most likely I wouldn't eat anything at all, just snuggle up to Love all night.

9. Free Will or Destiny: How about a mix of those two?

10. What would you sing at karaoke? About anything. Never tried it (although I'm a SingStar geek)

11. Sweater or Sweatshirt? I'm not sure I know the definitions of these two

12. Paris, NYC, Tokyo, or Rio de Janeiro? Eh... Neither? I'd rather visit London.

13. What do you wear to bed usually? Panties. Anything less will turn Love into a groper-in-sleep (no kiddin!).

14. If you dyed your hair, what colour would you dye it? Right now I dyed it caramel with high lights.

15. If you went back to school, what would you study? I am in college. But I guess I would choose photography if I were to change field.

16. Gum or mints? Gum

17. Recurring nightmares? Whenever I have big event coming up, I always dream I don't make it there. That's annoying.

18. Age & location of first kiss? On the fence between my house and my friend's, I was six and another neighbour kid came running up to me and kissed me by surprise, making me fall backwards over the fence. He then proceeded to try and kiss my friend, but she slapped him.

19. Describe your favourite pair of shoes: My wranger sneaker-type shoes are sooo comfy and my floral patterned Doc Marten boots are hilarious! I wear them only because it ticks certain people off, not because I find them pretty.

20. What movie/tv character do you feel like you relate to most? Oh goodness... I dunno. I love Elizabeth Bennet though.

21. First CD purchase: *hums* well, in my days we didn't have CDs, but cassettes. My first cassette was a Meat Loaf one. But first CD? Bon Jovi with "Always"

22. First concert: Probably Backstreet Boys when I was 13.

23. Do you like camping? No, not particularly. Too many insects, lack of loos and lack of comforts.

24. If you were doomed to be mauled to death by an animal, what animal would you prefer that to be? A hedgehog. I'd be the first one.

25. Do you/would you own a gun? No. But I have a sword! The blunt Sting from Pakistan. It's no good for chopping, but it's heavy.

26. What religion would you like to know more about: None right now. Still recovering from my Arthur-legend exam.

27. Favourite food as a kid: I don't remember. Lasange?

28. How many languages do you speak? Three languages fluently, Norwegian, German and English. I understand Swedish and Danish (and, if in the right mood, can playfully try to speak it) and I know a little french. Oh, and rude words in Italian. I can say "motherf*cker" in vietnamese and cat in russian (it sounds exactly like the Norwegian word for "h*rny")

29. If you were a natural disaster, would you be a tornado, hurricane, or earthquake? I'm with the Jellomonster on this one. I'd be a tornado, I'm a messy person.

30. If you could make one state in the US just go away, which state would that be? Whatever state Bush is in if it included him going away.

31. How many prescriptions do you take? None

32. Lake or Ocean? Ocean. I live by the ocean, I love it.

33. What is the worst lie you've ever told to get out of work, (and don't say you've never lied to get out of work, because that my friend is a lie and you know it)? When I had that bad job two years ago, I sometimes called in sick when I was just a little bit sick but not very.

34. Do you carry a backpack, a satchel or "man bag", tote bag, brief case, or a backpack on wheels? Depends on my "mission".

35. Have you ever been arrested/cited for anything other than traffic violations? No, never. Not even for traffic violations.

36. Would you ever move for/with a significant other? I guess I already did. And would do it again.

37. What was the weirdest thing you had to dissect for biology? The only thing we ever dissected was shrimp. Already cooked shrimps. It's not a normal thing to dissect frogs and stuff here in Norway.

38. Would you ever consider spending some time at a nudist colony? Eh.. No.

39. Best thing you can cook? According to my sister it's my wok.

40. If you were going to donate 1000 dollars to a charity, what would that be? There's so many that deserve donations... But perhaps something that isn't so common. A guinea pig rescure for instance?

Ay! She speaks!

It's been one week since I handed in my last exam. Which means I've been a lazy blogger! Bad Kjersti!
So what has been going on? I was so occupied for a long stretch of time with that darn exam (I won't tell you what I want to do to Arthur and his frikkin Grrrrail, it's too ugly!) and then suddenly... freedom! Ah, the joy!

Last weekend my 12 year old sister came to visit. It was her first visit here alone, and I think she had a good time. On saturday we went shopping for strappy shoes for her and then I took her with me to get my hair cut. She got a hair cut also, her first proper "do" and, according to her words, she looked "at least two years older!". We also picked up dye, for both of us.
Ooh, and had an ice cream from the nummy ice cream place. Sat down in the town square and enjoyed the sun, sis talking about how pretty it was right there. I, of course, didn't tell her that on weekdays this was the hang out place for the local drunkards/druggies.

It's a town fair here this week. So sis of course wanted to go there. The little weasel weasled four of the six rides tickets we bought. But really, I didn't mind. I was happy because I won a Cow plushie, cow from the Cartoon Network show "Cow and chicken". It's butt ugly (and has a butt too...), but so ugly it's hilarious. I'm very pleased with Cow (Love's not!).

Yesterday was the last day at school and we had booked a place to all have dinner last night. So between end of school and dinner at six, a couple of girls from my class joined me for a little round of sing star here at home. Just when we were about to leave, I remembered the costumes I had gotten dirt cheap on sale last week, so I pulled them out to show them. Uh... bad idea? They insisted we got dressed up to go to dinner. Yeah... Imagine the looks we got when witchy me showed up with witchy shoes and bad ass make-up along with an angel and a very naughty vampire! It felt completely crazy and I haven't laughed that much in ages. (No, I don't have photos... I couldn't find my camera!)

Pant. Heave. Pant.

A very mopey Darth Kjersti. Got this costume for Love today. Of course I had to try it on! But Vader with boobs just doesn't work (and I will probably get interesting google hits for that phrase, but what the hey...).

Love also tried it on and said he understood the whole breathing thing now. Wonder why... *lol*

Today was the get-your-act-together day for me. That is, first I phoned my dentist and got an appointment for having those ruddy wisdom teeth pulled out. Bah! I don't want to. I completely panick over it, so just making that appointment is BIG... but, the buggers have been bugging me the last couple of weeks, I need them out now. So the big date is three weeks from now.
I'm not really interested in spending that much cash on it, and I'm not even doing both sides and still need to pay around 3000kr. That whole load of money for being tortured by an evil sadist!

AND to add to the joys, I've had shit with my laptop the last two weeks. It's the graphic card that's busted and I ordered a new one today... 1500kr thank you very much. Thank goodness Love can do extra hours. Otherwise we would never have been able to afford it. As if Hyacinth's troubles hasn't been enough. I mean... I like my money. I would love to get to know it before it flies out of my hands, but it just gets drawn to other things. I guess I'm not good enough for it. There's always someone more interesting on the horizon. The mechanic, the dentist, the evil computer gnomes who mess up your system. Bah!

Oh, the humiliation! If the "5% fat" t-shirts weren't bad enough... (Lime green t-shirts with big fat white letters saying "5% fat", which is an invite to moronic remarks when you're obviously not only 5% fat). Oh well... Silly hats. Better practice my howdys.

Yesterday morning was fun. It was one of those days when you get out of bed and meet your significant other and just... laugh! That's what happened yesterday. Love was already up, and when we saw each other, we both started laughing. I had this cotton ball of curls on one side of my head, he was sporting a Leningrad Cowboys look again. So I had to capture it of course.
