Looney convention at work

Some days you get the feeling you should have stayed at home.

Like saturday. When working behind a counter you do see a lot of different people, and some of them are less pleasant than others.
Some, however, really stands out.

Like Mr. Glitterpants last saturday.
An old druggie, doped beyond consciousness on who knows what. In the course of probably half an hour, he tried to buy chocolate and candy several times, and inbetween each time he forgot that he didn't have any money. Every time he came up to the counter, he would rummage through his black and silver glittery THIGHTS for some cash, including underneath his nuts AND on his behind.

Disturbingly gross, I tell you. And every time the same, oh damn I've lost my wallet excuse, and then browse the shop some more and return to the counter with something else.

Did I mention he also had a bag of garbage that he put out on the floor? One broken glass bottle, a couple of paper cups and whatnot. He did pick it up again, and then stomping on the glass bottle, breaking it into tiny pieces.
When I offered to throw the bag, he rummaged through it again, looking for something I don't think even he knew what was.

Oh, and he tried to pay for two tea bags also. Where he got them, I had no idea, but they weren't ours. I, of course, told him he could have them and he was very thankful. The same sequence repeated itself when he came back with a half eaten pear.

Oh man... that was one loony man, that's for sure.
