GAH! Don't do that!

I frikkin hate trapeze artists!

This weekend we went on a "mini-cruise" with Colorline to Kiel and back, and onboard they had these musical-shows. Well, the break entertainment here was a trapeze artist climbing up and falling down two cloth ropes.

Man... I don't like that crap. What's the point of plummeting several meters down towards the floor just to make me crap my pants? Unfair, I tell you!

Oh, and another thing... front row when the actors on stage are gyrating and pointing/winking at the closest females... meh... also not my thing. I wanted a hole to crawl into.

But the trip was very nice. We had a couple of hours in Kiel where we walked around, looking at the closed shops (it was Sunday), but luckily a convenience store at the railroad station was open and I got me some candy and rum, of all things... Have discovered the adult version of "slush", strawberry daquiries, and want to try making my own at home.

What else? Not much. Puppy is back home with my brother and I've cleaned the entire apartment. Even waxed the floors, which I think no one ever does anymore. At least not if judging by availability of floor polish in our nearby stores.
If there's one thing my mum's always been very thorough about, it's waxing the floors. So well... I have to keep up the legacy, right? :)

Our smoke detector is LOUD.

Especially when the batteries go flat in the middle of the night.
There's nothing quite like being awoken by bone-chilling beeping and believing the house is on fire...

But I guess it's a good thing. Because there's no way we'll sleep through that racket, and that's kind of the point with those things. I only wish it'll run out of batteries when I'm not sleeping and just startle me instead of scaring the crap out of me!
