1.Select a ticket type. Default settings include a 30-day ticket (see note on difference between 30-day ticket and monthly ticket below), 7-day ticket, 24h ticket, and single ride ticket
2.Tap "Stamp now" when you stamp your actual bus ticket. The stamped date will appear at the green stamp zone at the top. As the ticket approaches its expiration time, the stamp zone will change colour from green to yellow and red when expired.
3.Tap the stamp zone to switch the display from the stamp time to the remaining time and the expiration date.
4.To edit the stamped date, tap the "Change stamped date" button. A date selector control appears that allows you to adjust the stamped time (see 2nd screenshot). This is useful when setting up ticket timer for a ticket that has been stamped already at some other time.
5.Tap reset to clear the current ticket. This also clears reminders set as calendar items and/or local notification.
6.Set the "Add to calendar" slider to on to add a reminder to the calendar to buy a new ticket. A screen appears to set up the new calendar item. Switching the slider to off clears the calendar item.
7.Set the "Remind me" slider to on to be reminded by a local notification in time before the ticket expires. Swtiching the slider to off clears the local notification
8.Touch the "i" in the top right to change the settings (see 3rd screenshot).
Changing the Settings
1.Select a ticket type you want to edit
2.For the selected ticket type, you can edit the Ticket title, Duration and Name in the respective editing fields.
3.Tap the button right of the number field in Duration to set the time unit. Available options are hours (h), days (d) and month (m). When setting a monthly ticket, the number field disappears, and the duration is set to one month. Note that a monthly ticket expires the following month on the same day, just before the ticket was stamped. For example, a ticket stamped at noon, 24 Dec 2010 expires just before noon on 24 Jan 2011. Some transport companies have changed from monthly passes to 30-day passes, these can be set by setting a 30 day duration.
4.Change the "Expiration note at" slider to set after how much time the reminders for an expiring ticket are displayed, and the stamp zone changes color.
5.Tap the "Background image" button to set a custom background image.
With Ticket Timer you will never again be surprised by an expired bus or train ticket. Simply "stamp" your ticket in Ticket Timer and set a reminder. Feel "at home" in Ticket Timer by customizing the background image
Public transport companies now introduce electronic tickets. With Ticket Timer, stamp once, and you can check your if your ticket is valid any time, anywhere, without needing an electronic card reader.
