Finland is not particularly known for her mountains. Quite rightfully not. Most of Finland is less than 100m above the sea level. Depending on the local conditions, any unevenness of ground may be called as mountain (vuori in Finnish). A 50 metre hill would be a mountain in most parts of Finland. In the depressingly flat region of Ostrobothnia I have seen a hill of 10 metres (maximum slope of terrain one degree) called as Haukkavuori, that is The mountain of hawks! Mountain is a relative concept at local scales! The highest mountain in Finland is Halti, 1328m.
