(Oslo SS, Norway - born 11.08.78 - FIDE-ELO 2322)
Got hos first IM-norm in last years
Bergen Chess International with the score 5,5 / 9 ( Ratingperformance = 2480 )
His best games and
results indicate at least a solid 2300-strength - he won the Open Norwegian Championship
1998 by the outstanding score of 8 / 9, and at least by one occasion in Stockholm came
within sight of an IM-norm.
He has so far not been a star of the critical moments, still blunders a little to often, and has some problems to reestablish himself when getting the worse from the first rounds. In normal weather his strength at this level is his sharp, varied and well-prepared openings, but if they are working just acceptable he is a gifted attacker in the middle-game. Not as happy to defend a worse position, he may then also get a problem with the clock. Will his nerves survive the critical moments this time?
