 I've
had a soft spot for calligraphy ever since I came
in touch with the craft at school. I have had several
separate exhibitions and have been teaching the craft
over a ten years period in the 30years that have past.
For
exhibition work I often combine the calligraphy with
watercolour or rough collages. the work shown here
are both rough modern brush calligraphy, traditional
calligraphy and more free pen work.
Calligraphy
is one of the few fields within my profession that
has yet to be touched by the revolution that has changed
the whole business over the last 25 years. Calligraphy
is pure hand craft, and that may be one of the reasons
I enjoy working with it so much.
