I got my driver licence when I was 18 years old. !3 years later I bought my first bike.
By October 99 I got a 1989 Suzuki GSX-R750R.
There is a picture of it to the right. It is a very rare bike and especially if has not been raced. Most of them went to racers. The most significant differences are

- wider rear rim
- braced swing arm
- aluminum tank
- Fiberglas body work with quick release fasteners
- bigger 40mm carbs
- huge curved oil cooler and 2nd smaller oil cooler (the body work is different to accommodate the oil cooler)
- older style engine (long stroke)
- special exhaust
- solo seat design with race number box
They were a factory built purpose race bike and not a racer replica. They were built with the same intents as the earlier 86 GSXR750 Ltd. It was Suzuki's answer to Yamaha's OW01 and Honda's RC 30. Only 500 were built.
