| NGC 1499 called California Nebula resembles the outline of
California. Distance is 1,500 light-years and it is around 100
light-years long. It glows with the red light characteristic of
ionized hydrogen. This picture is taken with a combination of LRGB
filters making the color of the stars and a Ha-filter that makes out
the red structure in the nebula. The picture is taken over several
nights in nov-dec 2008. Follow the navigation menu and see the
